At Elswood high school learners identified with the presenter who spoke of the life decisions he had made that led to a crisis. They listened intently as he spoke of how he had overcome his addictions and made choices to improve his plight in life. Learners were responsive to the presentations and were able to identify with all the presenters regardless of which country they originally came from. Our youth are willing to accept that sometimes it may be necessary to migrate from one province to another or to migrate from one country to another in order to be safe and secure. Many learners at this high school share the same history as the presenters and therefore appreciated that their class mates could hear about the difficulties they themselves experienced in their home countries before they migrated to South Africa.
